Stephen Baer - HomeRun

The case was tried before the Honorable Judge Marcia Crone in Sherman,
TX (Eastern District of Texas) last week and my client was found Not
Guilty on all three counts after a week long trial. My client was the
girlfriend of a significant drug dealer in Gainesville (Cooke County)
and she was charged by the feds in a Conspiracy to Manufacture,
Distribute and Possess with Intent to Distribute greater than 50 grams
of Cocaine base (Crack); Possession with Intent to Distribute greater
than 5 grams of Cocaine base and Maintaining a Drug Premises. The
Government's theory was that my client aided and abetted her
boyfriend's drug distribution network by maintaining an apartment
where he could store his drugs (26+ grams of crack was seized pursuant
to a search warrant) and that she further aided him by buying him a
money counter (during the same search when the drugs were found a
money counter was found in its original box [albeit opened] with a UPS
shipping label that had my client's name on it.
